After over 10 ½ years of service, Blake Barton has decided to retire from his role as Executive Director of TCMC effective at the end of 2024 or when his replacement is hired and trained, whichever comes first. Blake still plans to be heavily involved with TCMC as a volunteer, and is willing to serve on the Board of Directors in the future. He will pass on his organizational knowledge and work closely with his successor to ensure a smooth transition.
The TCMC Board has decided to rename the position Director of Operations to better reflect the hands-on nature of the job.
It has been Blake’s pleasure to serve the community over the past 10 years, and he is excited to see what the future holds for TCMC. He plans to dedicate more time to his own meditation practice and teaching.

Job Description
TCMC is hiring a part time Director of Operations (DOO) who will report directly to the Board of Directors. The DOO will manage the day to day operations of TCMC, and consult the Board when policy or larger spending decisions are needed. This is a hands-on position, and the DOO will work closely with volunteers and the Board to ensure TCMC fulfills its mission. Most of the work can be done from home, but it is necessary to get to the center, to check on things, at least 1-2 times a week.
This is an exciting opportunity to serve the community, and continue TCMC’s ongoing mission while working closely with our volunteers, and it is a great way to be of benefit to others.
The position will require approximately 10 hours of work per week. It pays a modest hourly wage plus free attendance at TCMC sponsored non-residential events. It is a good way to incorporate service into your spiritual practice, and it could be a good position for someone who is semi-retired but wishes to stay engaged and bring in some additional income.
